Sailing at Dawn

Above the cliffs of Larrybane Bay, near Ballintoy is the beautiful cliff path which leads to Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge which you can see here in the distance gentle lit by the rising sun. This wooden boat awaits the visitor at the start of the walk as a reminder that the tiny island has been used by salmon fishermen for over 350 years. It is linked to the mainland by the very famous rope bridge which crosses the 20m wide x 30m deep chasm with the crashing ocean below.
